Resolve to be more motivated in 2017

If you are a believer in making New Year’s resolutions, an aspect of improving your practice may have made your 2017 list.  I challenge you, if you have room for just one more practice-related resolution, to aspire to be more motivated in 2017.  Specifically, more motivated when it comes to checking “HIPAA Training” off your to-do list.  If I lost you at HIPAA Training, bear with me…

Imagine starting your new year with reduced anxiety because you feel like you’ve streamlined your back-office work.  This new-found efficiency gives you time to focus on more important matters, like growing your practice (maybe that is your number 1 resolution!).  Believe it or not, prioritizing “HIPAA Training” early on may set these other things into motion.  This year, try developing a plan where you take one small HIPAA compliance step regularly.  Set aside time when you are working on other aspects of your practice-care to focus on compliance so that it becomes as much of a priority as the marketing or accounting aspect of your business.  If you’re feeling overwhelmed with where to start, that’s okay! This very site has ample resources for you, including a membership that offers not only training, but extended support.  Check out HIPAA for Therapists’ additional solutions here.  The main goal at the end of the year is not only to recognize that you had all of your compliance ducks in a row, but instead to recognize all of the other positive things that happened in your practice because you did!

HIPAA for Therapists was started because I realized how difficult it was to find the guidance I needed for solo/private practitioners – so I took matters into my own hands.  This community was created as a result of my frustration, and aims to give you the online workshops and training that you need, and most importantly, the confidence and motivation to check “HIPAA Training” off your to-do list.  Let’s start 2017 off motivated!
